Serenity

Recently I read about Mindfulness, the Buddhist philosophy of being aware of self to attain happiness.

I moved to Hong Kong two months ago, and my apartment is situated right next to the ocean. Glancing down from the 27th floor, I am in awe with the constant change of water. The beauty of nature is magnificent. Something so simple and yet so complex at the same time. The diversity of forms is ever-changing and always interesting – through simplicity I find comfort and peacefulness.

Color Fields

Color fields are photography made up with multiples of similar objects.

It is my belief that life celebrates diversity, and I intend to show this through photography — that the visual interests stem from the differences and individualities of each object.

Similarly, I believe the world would be a bland and boring place to live in if we were all clones of one another. The future of humanity lies not in raging wars against those who are different than ourselves, but in our ability to accept and appreciate our differences from one another.
